We retained Northrup Associates to sell our home, and John Langer did an excellent job representing us as our agent.  This was our third house that we have sold. It was by far the best experience.

We have known for a long time that we would make the decision to move from our family home of 29 years to a smaller abode.  There are many issues when one deals with getting older!  Moving is one of the major ones, so we knew that one of the ways to have a successful move is to have a competent real estate agent for selling and purchasing.  We were familiar with many of the agents in our area....but none of them seemed to meet the standards that Penny set for herself.

However, Penny McKenzie's name kept being mentioned.  We knew of her, but did not know if we could work with her.  We asked her to come over, as we did with other real estate agents, to see if we could have a chance to get to know her, how she presents herself and what she thinks of our house.   We made an appointment and about 15 minutes before the scheduled time, we noticed a car sitting in front of our house. 10 minutes later the car came up our driveway and, at the scheduled time, Penny rang our doorbell.  This was her calling card!  She was always on time or early, which was comforting.  All of her material was neat and organized.  We were looking for someone who was personable, careful, on-time, knowledgeable and Penny was the person!  Penny seemed to be a step ahead of all the other brokers we considered.

We spent several weeks getting our house ready.  This included making suggestions for cleaning and staging.  Plus, since Alan and I have a tendency to easily become over-whelmed with those kind of tasks, she found someone who was good at de-cluttering which included filling 5 dumpsters, taking our possessions to people who wanted/needed them.  In very quick time, the house was ready to go on the market!!

On the first weekend in the spring that began the house selling and buying season.  We were there every step of the way, except for the actual open house.  We moved out for the night.  Alan and I were very anxious to hear the results!! When the showing ended, Penny called to tell us that we had over 30 families for the open-house.  While there was not an actual bid, she felt that one would be coming in before the need to advertise another open-house!! And she was right, as usual!!

Penny is a full service Real Estate agent!! She handles all parts of the process of selling a house, from meeting the client for the first time to getting all the figures together that we need for tax purposes.

Personality-wise, Penny is ALWAYS pleasant! She always left us with a smile on our faces and a chuckle in our hearts!! We ALWAYS looked forward to our visits with her!!
